The Friends of Lilly Library is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1997 to assist Lilly Library in many important ways. Members include individuals, families, and groups in our community.
For over a hundred years, the Library has given us good books to borrow, a quiet place to read and study, children's programs, and many other excellent services in the village of Florence. Many people have contributed to helping Lilly Library over the years and we have all benefited. By becoming a member, you can continue this support. The library gives so much to everyone, so give a little back.
Whenever there is a job to be done, it is faster, easier and more fun to do with friends. By becoming a member of the Friends of Lilly Library, you can help with some of the jobs that need to be done at the library. Every contribution is valuable and needed.
Some of the jobs include reading aloud programs, repairing books, taking care of the grounds, assisting with computer tasks, planning displays and helping out at books sales.
The Friends will be actively involved in fundraising to purchase essentials that the Library budget cannot afford. A special fundraising effort will match local contributions with state funds for an elevator for access for everyone. Become a member today!
