Read the latest AND back issues of your favorite magazines and newspapers ranging from Time, Newsweek, Consumer Reports, Science News, Forbes, the Harvard Health Letter, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Ranger Rick, The Boston Globe, The New York Times and Fodor's Travel Guides to name a few. The latest magazines are often online BEFORE they even hit the newsstands!

Academic OneFile - Academic OneFile contains 8,000 academic journals, mainly in full-text, available in HTML and PDF formats. It also contains hundreds of podcasts and transcripts from NPR, CNN, and the CBC, as well as full-text New York Times content from 1995.

Grove Art Online - Grove Art Online provides web access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art, ed. Jane Turner (1996, 34 vols.) and The Oxford Companion to Western Art, ed. It offers ongoing additions of new and updated articles, over 3,000 thumbnail art images and line drawings displayed in the text of articles, extensive image links, and sophisticated search and navigation tools.

Kids InfoBits - Covering 75 full-text curriculum-related magazines and 7 reference books, InfoBits targets the research needs of K- 5 students. It features a developmentally appropriate and visual graphic interface and a subject-based topic tree search.

Thomson Gale Powersearch - PowerSearch makes it possible to find subjects from A-Z in one or several of the Gale’s periodical databases in a single search. This is especially good for subjects that may be covered more than one database, such as diets, careers, etc.

Learning Express Database - You must have a Northampton (Forbes) Library card to use this database. This interactive online database features more than 300 practice tests based on official school and career exams, including ACT, SAT, GED, ASVAB, Firefighter, Police Officer, Paramedic, EMT Basic, U.S. Citizenship, Postal Worker, Cosmetology, and Real Estate Sales Agent & Broker Exams, among others. Includes math & reading practice for 4th grade through high school, school and college admission tests and Advance Placement tests.
